This is quite possibly the most lucrative property rights transaction in a long time, as the Elvis Presley name, his songs, and his Graceland resort now belong to someone else.

The rights were bought by Authentic Brands Group from CORE Media Group for an undisclosed fee (probably billions).

The new owners now control all of Elvis’ enterprises, including the licensing and merchandising rights, Elvis’ image, his name, his likeness, photos, movies and television appareances.

Lisa Marie Presley, his daughter, says she will still own Elvis Presley’s Graceland home and the original items inside it.
