Well that’s it – the final nail in the coffin. Thanks to Justin Bieber’s new ‘selfie app’, the selfie has become a fully fledged art form. Let us join each other in putting brown paper bags over our heads, and wait for it to be over.
‘Shots Of Me’ – the new app that Justin Bieber is known to have invested about R10 million into, is hoping to rival other photo-sharing sites such as Instagram, and do so without “mundane pictures of coffee or salad.”
The app is developed by RockLive, a company that was also backed by Floyd Mayweather. RockLive chief executive John Shahidi said that Bieber had been attracted to the service after being a “bit annoyed“ by other platforms, mostly because non-fans can hurl as much abuse at you as they want on other platforms.
The app is currently only available on iOS, but more platforms will be supported soon. Although, the question of how you can create an entire social network based purely on selfies still needs to be answered.
How many selfies can anyone one person bear in one day? Jeez. If you think want the app, click here.
