That pottery-wheel scene from the original ‘Ghost’ movie will probably go down as one of the most memorable movies scenes of all time. Aliens who study human film will write essays about it. And now there’s a chance it might re-emerge in a TV series.
A full 20 years since it won an Oscar for best screenplay – the blockbuster film is well on its way to the small screen. Reports are that Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner are writing a pilot for an adaptation of the Swayze-starring hit for Paramount Television.
If they do do it, they’ll do it well, with both writers sporting glittering CVs. Goldsman is one of Hollywood’s biggest writer-producers, nailing screenplays for movies like ‘Cinderella Man’ and ‘A Beautiful Mind’.
Pinkner has more TV experience, having written for several J.J Abrams series such as ‘Lost’ and ‘Alias’. Both writers have written several episodes of ‘Fringe’, too.
