This is one of those (strangely comforting) stories that remind you how kak it is to be a celebrity sometimes. All Alec Baldwin wanted to do was hang out, you know, live his life. But after being repeatedly stalked by aspiring actress Genevieve Sabourin, he was forced to take her to court to make it stop.
In a nutshell, Ms Sabourin over here is claiming that she is not a stalker, and that she and Baldwin had a fully-fledged sexual relationship. Alec, on the other hand, claims that they had solo dinner once, where he offered her career advice. She subsequently got obsessed with him, to the point where she was leaving all kinds of scary messages for him:
They varied wildly, either her sobbing and crying and begging me to call her and to commence this relationship with her or it would be her laughing and giggling and bubbling, talking about what we were going to do together in her imagination.
He then pressed charges against Sabourin, charges that she unequivocally denies. While Baldwin was giving his testimony, Sabourin even went on to heckle the ’30 Rock’ actor.
“Wow, you’re lying,” she yelled at Baldwin, after he said they were never lovers. “I can’t believe you’re doing that!” She then added that Baldwin had an identifying scar on his hip, “I gotta prove that I had a sexual relationship. I didn’t do anything wrong. He’s lying! He’s lying!”
Things took an emotional turn when Baldwin started sobbing upon the stand. He fought through apparent tears when he explained how Sabourin came to his house on the day he proposed to his wife, Hilaria.
But you know what? We wouldn’t put it past him to have acted this out.
