You just can’t keep a good comedian down. Sacha Baron Cohen takes even the most mundane of situations, and finds a means of turning it into comedy. If he isn’t throwing Kim Jong Il’s fake ashes all over Ryan Seacreast, then he’s killing an old lady on stage.
Salma Hayek presented Cohen with the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy, but to honor his achievement, he was handed Chaplin’s actual cane by 87 year-old Grace Collington, the last living person to have worked with Chaplin.
Without giving too much away, here are two clips. One of the build up to Cohen’s award, and one where he kills Grace Collington.
Obviously, there was no Grace Collington. That old bag was a stuntwoman. The whole thing was well received and laughed off by the crowd. No harm done.
