This is a bit of a weird one. You would expect the star of movies like ‘True Grit’ and ‘No Country For Old Men’ to put up a decent bar fight, but this is just embarrassing. The 45 year-old seemed to be trying to take down a bouncer at O’Brien’s Irish Pub in Santa Monica. He was outraged because the bouncer had told him that the pub was closing for the night – and he was prepared to fight to keep it open.

Well, we say fight, but we don’t really mean ‘fight’. Brolin seems to be attempting ‘the slap method’ using open palms to confuse his opponent. In this case though, it seems that Brolin was the one who was confused. After a quick bout of very ineffective slapping, one of the bouncers says “we were just hugging” and – like a Jedi mind-trick – Brolin suddenly loses his temper, and starts to hug it out.

When asked if he regrets anything from that night, he replied:

Absolutely. It won’t be happening again, I can guarantee it. That’s it, I’m completely done.

We’ve heard that one before, cowboy.
