Our collective fascination with the extra-terrestrial is never-ending. We always seem to be able to come up with new ways of tricking ourselves into believing that there are indeed aliens floating around earth. Whether it’s crop-circles, weird lights in the sky or strange things in the water – we are constantly reminded that more often than not, we’re just spooking ourselves. This time, it’s the American drones that are to blame.

However, drones offer the UFO-addict something a little different. For one thing, the drones have no actual people in them. And in many cases, the drones are designed to look like UFOs, with their uncanny flying-saucer shape.

So you can’t really blame anyone for thinking that drones are alien spaceships, because they kind of are. Except for the fact that we made them here, on earth. There’s no escaping that.

It won’t be long until we see more of these in South Africa’s skies too, I’m sure.
