Okay – these various trivial forms of procrastination are hard to keep up with. First it’s the bitstrips, then its awkward profile pic week and now – out of the blue –  everyone seems to be changing their profile photos to pictures of giraffes. This may not have reached everyone just yet, but rest assured this is out there, and people are going nuts for it.

Basically, you try to solve a riddle. If you get it right, you’re cool and get to keep your profile pic. If you get it wrong, you have to change your profile picture to a giraffe (or, you could skip this nonsense, keep your profile pic, and say you solved the riddle).

It’s called ‘the great giraffe challenge’ and the riddle goes a little like this:

It’s 3:00 am, the doorbell rings and you wake up. Unexpected visitors, It’s your parents and they are there for breakfast. You have strawberry jam, honey, wine, bread and cheese. What is the first thing you open?

Warning – we’re going to tell you what the answer is so that this whole giraffe thing can stop.

The thing you open first is… Your eyes. Boom.
