The Trek
When it comes to exhilarating, a 16 day trek to the Everest Base Camp is certain not to disappoint. Trekking through both spectacular natural scenery and the bustling towns of Nepal, adventurers will walk up to a height of 5 545 metres. Informative guides offer invaluable information and unique insight into the sights and scenes of the trek, as well as the gentle culture of the Sherpa people. Boasting eight of the world’s ten highest peaks, with Mount Everest towering at 8 848 metres, there’s a magical lure to Nepal that draws avid climbers and trekkers from near and far, all in pursuit of the chance to gaze at nature’s sheer magnificence. Itinerary
- Day one: Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.
- Day two: Morning yoga optional. Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley – Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu and Patan Durbar Square. Overnight at hotel.
- Day three: Kathmandu to Lukla by flight and trek to Phakding. Overnight at guesthouse.
- Day four: Trek to Namche Bazzar. Overnight at guesthouse.
- Day five: Acclimatisation day in Namche Bazaar. Overnight at guesthouse.
- Day six: Trek to Tengboche. Overnight at guesthouse.
- Day seven: Trek to Dingboche. Overnight at guesthouse.
- Day eight: Trek to Labuche. Overnight at guesthouse.
- Day nine: Trek to Ghorakshep and same day hike to Everest Base Camp. Overnight at guesthouse.
- Day ten: Early morning hike to Kalapathar and trek down to Pheriche. Overnight at guesthouse.
- Day 11: Trek to Tengboche. Overnight at guesthouse.
- Day 12: Trek to Namche Bazzar. Overnight at guesthouse.
- Day 13: Trek to Lukla. Overnight at guesthouse.
- Day 14: Morning flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla. Evening farewell dinner with cultural program. Overnight at hotel.
- Day 15: Free and easy day in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
- Day 16: Morning breakfast. Departure transfer to airport.
