The US Army is tearing a page out the comic books to develop a new suit of amour, turning their soldiers into real-life Iron Men. The improved soldier uniforms will give their wearers increased strength, allow them to carry heavier loads over longer distances, monitor vital signs, stop bullets, staunch bleeding and heal wounds.
They’re calling it the Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS), and its designed to strike fear into the hearts of all enemies to the USA. The government is calling on research and development organisations, private industry as well as government labs and academia to develop the exoskeleton War Machine in under three years.
The suit will be not be able to fly (yet) but will still be something very special. Its the brain-child of Tony Stark the head of operations for the Navy SEAL team that took out Osama Bin Laden.
