By now you know that I’ll be breaking opposition necks and cashing charity cheques at the 2013 #Run2Stop Challenge. Just because you can’t join me on the road, doesn’t mean you want be joining me in the winner’s circle in Brazil.
Ready to join me in Brazil?* Here is how it works:
1. Go to Continental’s Facebook page
2. Sign up to the Virtual Race – you’ll see it there on their Facebook page, where you should be if you can follow instructions.
3. Invite three awesome friends (if they’re average friends, you’re less likely to win) to be a part of your team and come up with a team name. But put some effort into it – nothing stupid or crap. A frigging dream sporting holiday is on the line here, people. Work for something for once in your life, please.
4. Once your friends accept their invitations, you need to monitor the Continental Facebook page daily during the #Run2Stop Challenge (4 to 8 November 2013). This virtual race runs in conjunction with the actual race. Get it?
5. Someone on your team – it can be you OR a team mate – need to answer the four random daily questions correctly. AND! If you’re the first team to answer correctly on a given day, you’ll get bonus points.
6. Last step: Keep an eye on your inbox to find out if you and your mates will be packing your bags for a South American adventure to the 2014 FIFA World Cup™!
*This will happen after we make friends with our opposing team (on the real life Run2Stop Challenge), find out their hopes and dreams, share vulnerable personal details, buy them a friendship fern, and then set that fern ablaze with petroleum because we’ve never actually learned to play nicely with the kind of kids who come second place.
