The menial job of brushing your teeth just got a whole lot more interesting. Combining the technologies of 3D-scanning and 3D-printing, we bring you the Blizzident Toothbrush. A toothbrush, of sorts, that is moulded to your own personal set of chompers so no one will steal it. A toothbrush that doesn’t even require any arm movement, just bite and grind. A toothbrush for the future.
Next time you’re at the dentist wishing you had brushed for the recommended three minutes, twice a day, ask if you can get an impression taken of your teeth – some dental procedures require this anyway – then, take the impression to a dental lab and get it digitised. Upload the digital model of your teeth to Blizzident and for a little over R3000 (this will probably get cheaper as 3D-printing becomes more mainstream) they will send you a 3D-printed toothbrush shaped exactly like your teeth.
They claim that all you need to do is bite down and chomp for six seconds, and voila: every single one of your teeth is perfectly brushed in both an up and down and side to side motion. FUN!
