American wingsuit pilot, Jeb Corliss, performed a death defying stunt this weekend in China’s Zhejiang Province. He jumped out a helicopter and flew through a narrow crevasse in the Langshan Mountain. The stunt was dubbed ‘The Flying Dagger.’
Langshan Mountain has a 298 metre deep valley that is 20 metre wide at its widest point and only 3,5 metres wide at its narrowest point – it was a tight squeeze for Jeb to say the least. He was going close to 200km/h at only 90 metres above the ground when he deployed his parachute, and the opening was so violent that it ripped his head-mounted GoPro right off and sent it hurtling down into the jungle below.
Jeb Corliss nearly lost his life last year right here in Cape Town while jumping and flying off Table Mountain. Luckily, he made a full recovery and is able to continue risking his life with these awesome stunts. Check out the video of this collision with Table Mountain below.
