The first cases of the terrifying, homemade, cheap-o version of heroin that eats the flesh of users from the inside and leaves them with reptilian-like skin (hence the name), have been reported in Arizona. The state fears that this is the beginning of an epidemic.

The drug, which is very popular in Russia, is made by mixing codeine with gasoline or oil and filtered before being injected into the user’s body. It is flammable and can be made by pretty much anyone, but the side effects are horrific. Hospitals have reported users of the drug coming in with their flesh hanging off their bodies and their bones exposed. It’s nasty. There are pictures of what it does to people that just don’t belong on this site. If you have the guts, Google it, but be prepared to see guts.

Dr. Frank LoVecchio, the co-medical director at Banner’s Poison Control Centre, had this to say,

We’ve had two cases this past week that have occurred in Arizona. As far as I know, these are the first cases in the United States that are reported. So we’re extremely frightened.

Not even once kids.
