On Monday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the New York City highways would be getting their very own ‘Texting Zones.’ He said that these zones will be put in to place to deter drivers from texting while driving.
The signs at rest stops have been changed, renaming them as ‘Texting Zones,’ one sign says:
It can wait—Text Stop, 5 miles
298 signs have been placed on the highways, directing drivers to 91 text safe zones.
Do you think drivers will actually stop in a safe zone to do their texting?
