Court documents filed this week recommend that a man going by the online moniker of ‘Fat Longpig’ should be jailed for 27 years for planning the kidnap, rape and eventual cannibalisation of children.

Fat Longpig’s real name is Geoffrey Portway. He plead guilty in May to distribution and possession of child pornography and solicitation to commit a crime of violence.The prosecuting lawyer wrote in a sentencing recommendation:

Portway has pled guilty to some of the most vile and heinous crimes known to our society

His lawyer recently said that he didn’t actually commit a crime, adding that:

Geoffrey lived in a fantasy world where he did live-action role playing, did things online unrelated to child porn and cannibalism. A lot of the chats that he had were, in his mind, fantasy.

Portway’s house was searched last year, after he appeared on the police radar for taking part in online chats about having sex with children. In his house police uncovered tens of thousands of photos and videos of child pornography, bondage equipment, a cage with a hole for feeding, scalpels, a steel top table, castration tools and a child-size coffin.

In an online chat Fat Longpig said he intended to:

Keep kidnapped children while he sexually abused them and as a place to eventually murder and cannibalize the children.

Portway is due to be sentence on September 17.
