2oceansvibe’s has received a copy of the email Flippie’s rep, Carina Papenfus allegedly sent to SA’s wine industry in July. The email is riddled with inconsistencies and lies*.
*This is according to our source, a prominent farmer in the Robertson valley.
To bring you up to speed, Carina Papenfus represents Flippie Engelbrecht, who she claims was beaten by Rietvallei wine owner, Johnny Burger. It is alleged that this beating led to epilepsy, which caused Flippie to fall into a fire and ultimately lose his hands and sight. Johnny Burger shot and killed himself last week.

Second story: Flippie’s Spokesperson Accused Of Lying To Bolster Case Against Rietvallei.
A browse over those articles’ comments sections will also reveal the number of people who believe Papenfus pushed Johnny Burger to suicide. Some even called her a murderer.
And now today we have received a copy of this email which Papenfus allegedly sent on July 18 – apparently riddled with more untrue statements. You’ll recall the allegations of dishonesty from the letter she sent Joost van der Westhuizen here.
In today’s instalment, the letter sent to the wine industry, urging them to boycott Rietvallei wines, is said to contain the following lies.
1) He was 13 at time of attack. This email claims he was 15. We have his ID number which starts with 941228 (28 December 1994) and the alleged attack date is 25 January 2008.
2) In the email they claim he had great potential as rugby player (to push loss of earnings). They claim he played for Police Rugby Club. In the letter to Joost van der Westhuizen they claimed he played for Robertson rangers. Even that was disputed by people in the team who said he never played. He has also never played for Police Rugby Club.
3) He never had a skull base fracture.
4) He never had brain damage.
5) He went blind 18 months after attack.
6) He was epileptic before the attack. This came up in iol as well (here).

We have tried to contact Papenfus to get her side of the story, and have received zero response.
