An American Instagrammer has been booted off of the photo sharing service for “violating Instagram’s community guidelines”. Amy Woodruff (the owner of the Daughter of the Sun Instagram account) practises yoga, and lives in a teepee with her family in the wilds of Hawaii. She has made a habit if posting breastfeeding shots on Instagram, but has never drawn the ire of Instagram’s moderators to this extent.
But here’s the thing. Instagram won’t specify exactly how Woodruff violated their Ts and Cs, which can mostly likely be explained by the fact that she didn’t. In all probibility, Instagram made a subjective call based on a number of probable user reports of the image on the service.
Woodruff’s 14,000 followers are royally peeved. As of now, the #savedaughterofthesun hashtag on Instagram sports over 1,000 breasfeeding shots, published in solidarity with Woodruff.
Here’s Woodruff’s view of the hullabaloo.
And here’s the picture in question:
Wow. Just, wow. The posture is simply breathtaking. Stunning technique.
