The oldest user on Facebook is 105-year-old Edythe Kirchmaier. Look at her – 105 and happy, and on Facebook, and still driving! She’s not only Facebook’s oldest user but California’s oldest driver too.
She learned to drive when she was 19 in a Ford Model T. Now here’s something that will restore your faith in humanity – when Edythe’s 1997 minivan starting breaking down, an anonymous fan did what any selfless, good hearted person would do and gave her a brand new 2013 Honda Civic, for free!
Edythe has been volunteering for her “beloved charity”, Direct Relief, for 40 years. Direct Relief provides free medication to people in need and Edythe has been seen on TV spreading the good word. On Facebook she posted,
I’m touched by the generosity of an anonymous person who surprised me with a new car yesterday. My friends at Direct Relief gave me a special parking spot for it. My new car fits in just right!
Edythe can now carry on her humanitarian efforts in style with her new ride. Check her cruising while throwing some horns. Rock on grandma.
