If you watched the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night, you were witness to the “secret,” ‘N Sync reunion, that took place for what seemed like one minute, amidst Justin Timberlake’s gratuitously long solo.
It didn’t really seem like anyone wanted to keep it a secret, considering ‘N Sync tweeted this on Saturday night:
First, Timberlake moved through what seemed like his entire discography, performing hits including ‘SexyBack,’ ‘Senorita,’ ‘Cry Me a River’ and ‘Like I Love You,’ and even added new songs from his comeback album, ‘The 20/20 Experience.’
Then, from the smoke rose Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez. As the crowd went wild, they did a very quick mash up of ‘Girlfriend,’ and ‘Bye, Bye, Bye.’
Timberlake took home the Michael Jackson Vanguard award on Sunday, and said:
Half of the Moonmen I’ve ever won, I won with those four guys. So above all else, I’m going to share this — we can keep it at my house — but I’m going to share this award with them.
Re-live the ’90s and watch ‘N Sync in their glory days below.
