EnChroma has made a product that will change your life if you are colour blind. They claim to have created lenses that are:
Specifically designed to address color blindness and utilize a 100+ layer dielectric coating we engineered for this precise purpose by keeping the physiology of the eyes of colorblind people in mind
Writer David Pogue, who is red-green colour blind, did a review for The New York Times, and said, they actually work! He said for the first time in his life, he was able to see a complete rainbow!
But the glasses do cost a pretty penny. They are $600 (R6,117). David said this might be too expensive for him to consider, as his colour blindness hasn’t been a huge hurdle in his life.
How much would you pay to see in colour?
