Africa News Network 7, or ANN7 for short, launched last night complete with Zulu dancers, a Zahara solo and complete confusion on Twitter. ANN7 is the brand new 24-hour news channel on DStv, funded by the Gupta family.
Yesterday we told you that ex-Carte Blanche presenter, Chantal Rutter Dros, would be joining the channel as the Headlines anchor, but that wasn’t what the people of Twitter were talking about…
Well, that’s awkward.
The launch of ANN7 brings our local 24-hour news channel count to three with eNCA and SABC News, which launched earlier this month.
