CNN has just announced that they will be revamping their website, to the tune of $15 million (around R140 million).
Sound familiar? In March, the Free State government announced they would be spending the same amount of money on their website. Weird that a provincial website would cost the same as a global news network’s website.
Times Live reported civil rights organisation, Afriforum, is investigating the way these funds are being spent.
Free State AfriForum organiser Cornelius Els said
The exorbitant amounts alone are worrying, and the further one reads through the documents, the clearer it becomes that there are too many discrepancies
Raises the question, where is all this money really going?
