About Jackie:

JACKIE BURGER is the editor of Elle magazine in South Africa. She’s been the brand manager at Foschini, associate fashion editor of Fair Lady and acted as a brand consultant for Lever Ponds. Her ability to accurately predict trends and interpret them for consumers has served her well in this regard.

Burger was a finalist in the fashion category of the 2001 and 2003 Mondi Paper Magazine Awards, and won in 2002. Beyond that, she’s also the winner of the Most Innovative Style category of the 2003 SA Style Awards. Her interests include sunrise and sunset in the Karoo, Buddhism, vintage clothing and flowers. And of course, the challenges of a homegrown fashion industry in South Africa.
