The Albert Kindergarten in Taichung, Taiwan is unlike anything you have ever seen. They are seeking to instill courage and confidence in their children, which principal Fong Yun thinks they lack. Parents who send their children to this school are also hopeful the training will prepare them for the “hardships of life”.
Children at Albert Kindergarten are between the ages of three and six and have to take part in the daily one to two hour training program. Yun, along with pediatric professor Chen Yi-hsin developed the program which they feel will aid the children in “college admission exams, job hunting and even marriage”.
The training is a mixture of marine drills and gymnastics.
In order for the children to graduate they have to complete a challenging physical test.
