The human body is a beautiful work of art. Lovely to look at. Especially naked. British photographer, Carl Warner, has seen the beauty that is the human body and created amazing landscapes…with naked people. Using the curves, bumps and contours of the human form he has created images of rolling hills, valleys and mountains using a single nude model.
This is not the first time Warner has tricked our deceptive eyes with his photography. His Foodscapes series had him creating oceans out of salmon and rocks out of potatoes. He has found that the Bodyscapes series, featured here, is a bit more challenging.
Veg is more fiddly as it wilts and dries out, but there is so much more I can do with it, whereas the human body is quite limited in terms of the shapes and compositions that can be achieved.
Warner now has his sights set on creating naked landscapes with the beautiful bodies of famous people. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for an Emma Watson piece. Feast your eyes on some of his amazing photos below.
