On Friday in Germany the country’s largest baby was born…and she weighed a whopping six kilograms. The 56 centimeter baby girl named Jasleen was not delivered by caesarean section either, which is common for the birth of babies that size.
It was reported that the newborn’s mother had an undiagnosed case of gestational diabetes which causes a baby to be of larger-than-average newborn size.
According to the New York Daily, both the mother and Jasleen are doing fine, but the heavy baby remains in the neonatal care unit. The baby takes the record from Jihad, the largest baby boy born in Germany.
Below is a photo of the baby girl, yes it’s a real thing.
