When an Indian maharajah crowned at a young age passed away (after the depression caused by his son’s death), his daughters were left with nothing near what they deserved.
Instead of getting what they thought was there birthright fortune, they were given only a few dollars a month from the palace officials that they suspected to have forged the will.
After over two decades, an Indian court made a final ruling on the matter: “[That] the will of Maharajah Harinder Singh Brar of Faridkot was fabricated.” Now instead of the “trust” run by palace officials, the few dollars a months turned into the daughters inheriting the R39 billion estate.
The 350-year-old estate in New Delhi included acres of land that consists of forest, an insane mansion and a stable of 18 cars – including a Rolls Royce, a Daimler and a Bentley. On top of the estate, there is an aerodrome in Faridkot that’s spread over 200 acres. There is also more than R1 billion worth of rupees, gold and jewelry.
