If you ever needed an excuse to visit the Company’s Garden, this is it. According to a report, the historic gardens will now have free wi-fi services, that could reach the rest of Cape Town’s CBD in the future.
The City, Iziko Museums and Connected Space are in the process of putting together the final touches for the service that is expected to be implemented on Friday.
At the moment, users get 100MB’s a day. There is also a feature where you can use whatever tech gadget you have, to scan a code and find out about the fauna and flora that run through the garden.
Mayoral committee member for community services, Belinda Walker said:
We are very excited to bring the convenience of free wi-fi to a public space and give those who visit the chance to enjoy the breath-taking surroundings… at the same time.
