Drones are not only the sneakiest killing machines, but they can be used to do other things. Some are more strange than others. Flying drones have become quite the hobby for some, and people can be very inventive when it comes to how they utilise their drones.
Shoot action sports
Catch the action while it is happening and when you are in the shots. Any activity that was previously difficult to shoot, you can shoot it with the greatest of ease.
Mail by drone
It may have started out as an April Fools’ Day joke, but delivering the mail would make our lives so much easier. Not to mention how drones could reduce costs at the post office.
Building towers
An art installation, “Flight Assembled Architecture”, used drones to lift, transport and assemble a tower.
Food delivery
This is the Burrito Bomber created by Darwin Aerospace, it’s an airborne Mexican food delivery system. You are able to order and track your order in real time. When your burrito has reached you it is dropped down with a parachute.
Drones that juggle
Researchers at the Flying Machine Arena have used drones to juggle balls. An overhead motion system is used to track the balls and the drone and a pair of computers are used to control them.
Drone delivers food to your table
YO!Sushi in London uses drones to deliver food to tables. The drone or iTray is controlled by an employee inside the restaurant and with the help of built-in cameras, the kitchen can monitor the tray at all times
Drones for humanitarian aid
To compensate for poor transport in certain parts of the world, Matternet is attempting to alleviate this problem with a network of drones. The network of drones would mean food, water, medication and other necessities reaching remote areas.
Drones to deliver pizza
Domino’s released a video displaying a drone delivering pizza, but it was used as a marketing tool. There are no plans yet to use drones to deliver pizza.
The Golf Channel uses drones to film golfers

Drone used to film a training session
In April the Tennessee Volunteers football team used a camera-equipped drone to film their training session. A Hoverfly Erista was reportedly used.
