GlassUp is taking on the challenge to provide consumers with an alternative to Google Glass. With nearly $25,000 (R 246,000) raised from crowd-funding site Indiegogo, the Italian company has created a product that is on par with Google Glass. The wearer will be able to control the eyewear with their smartphones allowing them to view messages, emails or news.
According to GlassUp creator Gianluigi Tregnaghi, the work on GlassUp started two years ago. At that time Google had not introduced the new product.
