During a friendly on Thursday between Germany’s FC Schalke 04 and Austria’s Red Bull Salzburg, 20-year-old Martin Hinteregger, a Salzburg defender scored the goal of a life time. The ball was kicked from 60 meters away and had enough power to make it over the goal keeper’s fingers.
NBC Sport reported that the defender had not yet scored a professional goal. But because the match was a friendly, this show stopper will not count.
