Have you ever wondered how much of your life you spend looking for your keys, your phone or your bag. How many times are you late for work because you can’t find your car keys? Constantly searching for misplaced items will no longer be an issue thanks to this iOS app, Tile.
Created by software and hardware designers Mike Farley and Nick Evans, each Tile has Bluetooth and is the size of a matchbox. Simply attach a tile to your keys, laptop or drop it into your wallet and you will be able to find the lost item with the help of the iOS app. Log into the app and you can find the items that grew legs and walked away if they are in range of 15 to 45 metres.
A great feature that the Tile app has is that you can phone the Tile and it will ring on its built-in speaker, which will seriously cut your search time down. And you won’t have to worry about needing to change the battery because according to the company, each Tile only lasts for one year after it has been activated. When the time comes to get a replacement, Tile will send you a reminder.
It is eco friendly too, your old Tiles can be recycled.
The app is currently only available on iOS devices supporting Bluetooth 4.0. You can pre-order Tile online for $18.95 (R187) but for a limited time only.
