On Monday, a harrowing video was uploaded to YouTube of what looks like Egyptian security attacking protestors with live ammunition.
In the first few seconds of the clip, it’s hard to decipher where the gunshots are actually coming from, until a bloodied protestor is carried out of the crowd. After catching the horrific ordeal of the victim getting transported into a van, the cameraman pans up to show the men on top of a roof, firing what looks like rifles, into the crowd.
A second bloodied man is then carried out of the crowd, with what look like serious injuries.
According to the Washington Post, the video was filmed outside Cairo’s Republican Guard headquarters, where Morsi is believed to be held.
