Before we begin, we want to state right up front that a number of our staff are alumni of Stellenbosch University. Heck, some of us are married to people who went there. It’s a beautiful place, and we’re all big fans – jealous, even – of what you guys are doing with the decentralized campus thing.
But that doesn’t mean that some of the people who go to that university make terrifically strange videos for all us to enjoy on the internet.
Set to the tune of Moulin Rouge’s “Come What May”, the video appears to be a soft-sell for a local student-oriented church, Josh Gen. But that has nothing to do with why it’s awesome.
Our favourite part happens at the 2:23 mark, when he puts his hand on a black guy’s shoulder and sings, “There’s plenty of you!”
Just such a treat.
Tell your friends. But don’t come with that, “This has been around forEVER!!1!!!!11!” shade-throwing, alright? We’re trying really hard to be as cool and relavent as you are, but it isn’t easy.
[Thanks, Johann!]
