We’ve all wondered what our pets get up to when we’re not around. When Alex Neskin, a Ukrainian robot fend, decided to film his pet when he wasn’t in the house he was shocked at the results.
His poochie friend Rocky was seen barking and crying by the door the whole time his owner was gone. Neskin then knew he needed a way to interact with his fury friend while he is away, this is what inspired the Petcube.
Neskin, along with Yaroslav Azhnyuk and Andrey Klen, joined together to make a gadget focused for checking up and playing with pets when their owners are out of the house.
The 10x10x10cm box that is left at home and connected to the house wifi. The cube contains a wide angle camera, microphone and speaker and is linked with a mobile app. These devices now allow one to keep an eye on their pets via live video stream, call out their names and use a laser to entertain them while you are gone.
