Washington DC based photographer Nick Gleis has gained access to over 800 private jets and has photographed them for us outsiders so we may get a taste of what that world looks like. The majority of the jets photographed by Gleis belong to royalty and heads of state. Gleis’ fascination with private jets started in 1979 when he was commissioned to take pictures of a private Boeing 727-200.
Gleis is normally commissioned to photograph the aircrafts for designers, completion centres and brokers that are involved in the project. After this, the jet is unlikely to be seen again by the team who worked on it. Gleis said:
You see more conservative interiors today than in the past. This is often because owners want a more low-key look and also, like with anything else, a highly customised look to someone’s personal taste brings the value down.
Check out the gallery below and if you feel you need your own jet, you might want to get some tickets for tonight’s R1.9 BILLION Euromillions lottery draw (EUR 143 million) here.
