Julius Malema recently announced his plans to launch a new political party. While noting the ANC’s lack of leadership, Malema appealed for fundraising for his new political party. Malema said:
We call for submission on what can be fundraising mechanisms for this platform because we do not have money.
Malema attacked the ANC and blamed the country’s poverty, unemployment and inequality on their lack of leadership. But his new forum, according to Malema, will hold national meetings where issues of “redistribution of land and the nationalisation of mines and banks” will be discussed.
Malema said:
The ANC is committed to a right-wing, neo-liberal and capitalist agenda which has kept (the) majority of our people on the margins of South Africa’s economy.
