British actor and comedian Russell Brand announced on Monday that he will be embarking on his first world stand-up tour. And for all you Russell Brand lovers out there, he has decided his tour will include South Africa too. The tour has been officially named “Messiah Complex”. The Messiah Complex is a mental disorder where one thinks they might be the Messiah. Brand said:
I am going to tour The World (our one, Earth) with Messiah Complex, causing bother and excitement and offering opinions that have not been either solicited or thought through.
His stand up act will be “a dissection of various social and religious figures and the reality of their lives through comparisons of each other.”
The South African leg of his “Messiah Complex” tour will be in Cape Town on 16 November 2013 at the Cape Town Convention Center, followed by Johannesburg on 17 November 2013 at the ZA Teatro.
