During a live broadcast at the BBC on Friday, Her Majesty photobombed in a very royal fashion.
The Queen was attending the official opening of the BBC’s R15 billion revamped Broadcasting House. News presenters Julian Worricker and Sophie Long took a long awkward pause to acknowledge their surprise guest who was dressed in turquoise, while staff members cheered from behind the glass studio.
The Queen’s visit lasted all of one and a half hours where she was given the tour of the open-plan floor that took over 10 years to complete. The BBC appearance was done without her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh who was in hospital undergoing “exploratory abdominal surgery.”
