Lately, the British Don Juan hasn’t held back on voicing his opinions, but one thing he wasn’t too verbal on, was his marriage with pop star Katy Perry.
In an interview with Esquire, which is available on newsstands today, the 37-year-old ladies man gave us the scoop.
Brand on marriage:
I tried it and I loved it. I really think she’s a lovely beautiful person [Katy Perry]. It’s just hard isn’t it? She’s got a lot of options, I’ve got a lot of options, so you’ve got to really, really want it.
He made it clear that when he is in a relationship he is “diligently monogamous and sticks to the principles agreed on within that relationship.” The spilt between the couple was merely based on their fame, not on adultery.
Some of it’s the fame, but I think getting married is… you’ve got a whole other person that you’ve got to make as important as you!
When asked about his future monogamous relationships, the comedian was very open in discussing his ways.
It’s going to be hard if I go into a monogamous relationship. I live a life where I have a lot of freedom, so if I meet someone and I go, ‘Right let’s be monogamous’, that’s a f**king change
