Buying your new, demo, or pre-owned car tends to have a heck of a lot of missioning involved.
Obviously you’re looking for a deal, but you can never really guarantee that you’re getting one – the reason car salespeople are the sales people is because they’re good at selling. Their presence on the show room floor tends to pervert the rationality of the transaction. You know you have X to spend, but you end up spending X plus R40,000 worth of extras because of a snide evil known as “upselling”.
And it’s a truth that extends to most transactions, which is why more and more people prefer to buy stuff online. It’s just you, your bank account, and the product.
But the hunger for a deal continues to nag, and nag, and you’re not getting the car deal love that you’re looking for from car dealership websites. There’s always an appointment follow up call, asking you to meet at the show room.
But there is happy news. The good people at 7Days.co.za do the haggling with the dealerships for you. And the deals that they negotiate on your behalf are what they are – there’s no deviousness.
You can check out pre-existing deals on their site which include new cars, and demo and pre-owned cars, or create your own deal by telling them what it is you want, and they’ll try to find it for you within seven days.
Specify your brand, model, budget, and preferred vehicle condition, and they will find you a car.
After poking around on the site for five minutes, we found this absolutely mental deal.
R70,000 off? Honestly?
The vehicle is a demo model, but there are some crazy deals on new vehicles as well. Check it out, now.
Gavin and Ciro chatted about 7days.co.za last night on the Overdrive Live, from 17h00 to 18h00.
