This past weekend Cape Town has been struck by an avalanche of cold and left certain areas in a state of toil.
According to the City of Cape Town’s disaster risk management centre, the storm has flooded around 23 residential areas like Gugulethu, Khayelitsha and Hout Bay, but mostly impacted informal settlements. A shocking sum of 2260 people have had to receive help from “humanitarian relief” after their roofs were blown off and their homes were completely flooded.
It has been reported via The South African Weather Service, that the dim weather should dissipate tonight.
