You know those times when you miss an important phone call because your phone is too soft to hear in busy areas? Ok, the iPhone 5’s sound speaker is better than most, but there are always those moments when you wish it could be a touch louder, shower time maybe?
Jailbreak has delightfully come up with something to solve all our problems. They have developed a new Tweak that can improve the volume on your iPhone by a whopping 200%. You might be wondering how this Tweak differs from others, well, instead of it editing a file on your phone to make your speaker louder, it now literally amplifies the gadget’s audio stream. So when you reach 100% and bang your phone in the hope it will rise past its maximum volume, this time it actually will.
Every awesome thing has a flaw though- the tweak only sorts out the volume control for phone calls so you can hear the person on the other end of the line when you are in the busiest of places. But unfortunately it can’t do the same for videos and music and other things attached to the main speaker.
The Volume Amplifier is currently compatible with the iPhone 5’s only but it has been reported that it it will be coming to iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.
If you are one of the people that could benefit from a Tweak like this, you can get your ears on it for about R20.00 in Cydia’s BigBoss repo now.
