Early on Friday morning, Amy Beth Cavaetta was rushed to hospital to deliver her second child. But the birth did not go entirely to plan. Cavaetta barely made it outside the Boca Raton hospital in Florida, before the delivery started.
Emily Robinson, a Miami-based photographer who specialises in birth photography- decided to follow, Amy Beth and her husband to their child’s birth, instead of her normal process of meeting a couple inside the delivery room. And luckily she did otherwise she would not have been able to take these amazing images, that can be seen in the gallery below.
Robinson:
When we pulled up to the hospital, there wasn’t any sort of panic — nobody thought the baby was going to come right then. The midwife was out there waiting for us, coincidentally, and that’s when Amy walked up to the curb and leaned into the pillar and said, ‘The baby is coming out.
It was the first time I ever saw a mother be wheeled INTO the hospital holding her new baby,
