Last week a timid protest against the new gay marriage law in fact saw the beautiful streets of Paris tainted with violence and anger.

Government stated that the protest may be ransacked by “far-right activists,” and right they were. An estimated 150,000 people showed up for the ordeal in Paris. When these protestors dispersed, things took a turn for the worst, resulting in the public throwing metal barriers, smoke flares and beer bottles in a state of flux. People went as far as dropping a Socialist Party banner that instructed president Francois Hollande to resign.

With the use of teargas and force the police managed to arrest 96 people.
