The Clone Factory in Japan specialises in something a little out of the ordinary. The startup company prides itself in the 3D printing…of human faces.
But it doesn’t stop there, for R 12 530, you can get that beautiful mug of yours printed out and put on a dolls body.
The process goes a little something like this:
The subject is sat infront of digital SLR camera’s and gets sequenced photos taken of them.
A digital map of the subject’s head is then rendered.
It is then printed into plaster.
And this is a gallery of Japanese women dolls and examples of what the final product would look like. According to TechHandle the “Japanese women looking to preserve that special moment in their lives, such as their wedding day by cloning hair and makeup and even the dress they wore.”
