Expert speculators (expeculators?) are teasing us again.
According to Techzoom.com we have a lot of things to be excited about with regards to the upcoming iOS7 software and we have listed some of them below.
1. Setting Changes Made Easy
Ah, I think we can agree that iOS 6 is missing some easier navigation features, no? With the release of iOS7 it would only be right to presume that iFans will be graced with a better way to quickly change those settings, that they frequently use. According to Techzoom sources iOS 7 will do exactly that. “Quick settings” are expected to be positioned at the top of the notification area – spreading similar to Android or vertically with a toggle.
2. Speedy Reply
Ah, now you will be able to sneakily read and reply to messages in meetings and those boring family functions without anyone being suspicious. iOS is tapping into the message features and making the thing you do maybe too many times a day, easier than usual. Apple will reportedly improve the Quick Preview and Quick Reply system. Now, instead of having to tap into every app you have to reply to your message, you can do so when you have time via a notification center that pops up, where you can reply or view your latest messages.
3. Apple Widgets
Android’s popularity is very widget based, if you don’t mind us saying, but what if Apple came up with something better? Ok, it will be called something different (iWidget?) and will supposedly come with a lock screen on the notification center. This would offer more information at a quick look, rather than having to dabble around with your phone.
4. Make Multitasking Easy
Everyone is familiar with the mission control on a Mac (if you aren’t, see the video below). The navigating functionality from app to app on a iOS is admittedly not as great as Android, for now. But if systems similar to the mission control on your computer can be implemented, then multitasking complaints will be a thing of the past. Sources say iOS developers are focussing on this aspect, which means we can expect smooth transitions in the future.
5. Icons
iOS has stuck with the simplistic and stylish flat icon. With upgrading to iOS7, there is talk of them changing their icons to the bubble-type design, but not for Apple. Yes, the icons will have a newer look, but the signature flatness of the icons will only be improved, maybe even with a glossy overlay.
