The Argentine town of Epecuen decided it would “show face” again after being underwater for the last quarter of a century.
Epecuen was known for its saltwater lakes and spas. The salt levels were reportedly 10 times higher than what you find in the ocean, giving the same effect of floating like in the Dead Sea. After wet winters and a heavy storm, the 1,500 people that called the area their home had to evacuate.
Now for the first time since the 1980’s, the water is starting to subside.
