After losing a bet to Asian airlines CEO Tony Fernandes, Virgin Airlines founder Richard Branson was seen serving Mr Fernandes as a cross dressing flight attendant on the weekend. Branson donned fake eyelashes, red lipstick,fishnet stockings, a red skirt, red pumps and his hair was beautifully pinned into a neat coif.
I am a great believer about throwing myself into life and having a bit of fun and making sure everyone has a laugh.
I like to give people a smile. We used to have entertainers on our [Virgin] planes and I am thinking about reintroducing them. Musicians, comedians, drag queens and others could get the chance to fly for free if they entertain the passengers. It is something I am seriously considering to bring back soon.
It was all fun and games until Branson “accidentally” knocked over the serving tray on to Fernandes. Fernandes got his revenge by pouring a bottle of champagne over Branson.
So what was that bet?
In 2010, both CEOs placed a bet on which of their teams would win a Formula One race, first. Obviously, Dick lost.
